Sagada: 3rd TIme and still loving it!

Sagada has always been my sweet escape. It is a small municipality located in the province of Mountain Province of the Cordillera Region.  Its very rustic and yet its a mixture of the old and new living under a symbiosis... Its  multicultural and a mixture of different languages from the igorots, french, to the germans. Name it and you'll come across a different nationality each day.

The weather was  nice and cold, didn't require much layers of clothing. Everything was perfect..

The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)

Synopsis:
A high school student who is a freshmen, meets two seniors who showed him the ways of the world. The bond of friendship grew strong as they encounter problems and challenges of their youth.

The movie was based on the novel written by Stephen Chbosky published on February 1, 1999.

Main Cast:

Logan Lerman as Charlie
Emma Watson as Sam
Ezra Miller as Patrick

I found the film nostalgic and yet lift your spirit and takes you on a different dimension. I was relating to Charlie's, introvert attitude, which it explains perfectly well how and why he is. How over comes and see the world in a different perspective. The pains and pressures of High school life and how to survive it.

I loved how they took me into different characters and gave each character life. They took me from one scene to the next intertwining, making each person on the film felt real and somehow they are beside you at the very moment.

The song selection was amazing, and each scene they played, with a particular song creates an image to the viewers minds.

Somehow, we all suffered something from our youth. There are a lot of things, especially I, would like to take away and forget about it. The love and the lost that he felt, I too have felt the same way and why I still do up this moment. It made me feel like I was the character at some point.

I would like to have that same feeling that he has as he way passing by the tunnel, as the world around him moves so fast and yet he remained still admiring everything there is.

My favorite line on the movie would be

Sam: Why do I and everyone I love pick people who treat us like we're nothing

Charlie: We accept the love we think we deserve.

Its a sad story, but at the end they made you feel alive.

Ice cold beer...

after shopping for some lingerie, and walking on the streets of Bonifacio Highstreet, global city. I was thirsty and wanting a mug of ice cold beer, the night was jam packed as resto and bars are filled with patrons.

I wanted it to be quiet, just me and the beer, and nothing else.

Walking thru, I passed by Murray & D'vine home of the juicy lucy,  there where a few expats sitting on the outside chairs, but the inside looked nice and quiet.

So I simply sat on the bar and ordered the coldest and thirst quenching mug of draft beer.

it was soothing for my battered throat and soul..

told myself, i am coming back.

My Ice Cold Beer!

P.S.
Their Burgers are absolutely scrumptious! I have already tried their Wagyu Beef Burger, It does live up to my expectations.

Murray & D'Vine is located at C114, G/F Retail area, Serendra, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Santiago VS Lacson

The ongoing feud of Senator Miriam Santiago and Senator Lacson has caught my eye as I was listening to the news the other day.

We all know how Sen. Miriam spear headed the Senate hearing regarding Ousting the former Chief Justice of the Philippines with "hidden assets" as I have perceived to be. She has been known throughout the season with her rants and raves, massive lectures to the prosecutor, and I believe remained in the conscience that Justice is blind until proven otherwise. With this case it has not, and  I plea with the former Chief Justice, though not his methods.

Sen. Lacson, who has been in and out of certain cases, and making a name for himself with a questionable reputation. He has been holding the senate position far too long and has received the luxuries the position that has gained. Mocking his other senators with his blatant accusations regarding their lifestyles, has he check his by the way... big question...

The two are now going head to toe on the floor and as well in the media.

Miriam, giving her speeches of him being "bakla", and him having a laugh of it as she is being affected by his accusations.

They are like two kids rambling together. Which can be so much fun and annoying at times.

Can this be another antic to make sure a publicity on the coming elections may it be good or bad.

But with Sen Lacson tactics, with his so called "strong evidence" in pinning down a former Philippine judge and International lawyer, and who is very much eloquent with law and rules of court, will it ever take into action. For once I would like him to push the so called case and file it at the Ombudsman as he has clearly declared, not another accusation to merely tarnish a reputation who has always been an opponent and not an ally.

just my two cents.
